Few people know about the healing property of herbs when it comes to coping with a toothache. Natural herbs such as cloves, calendula, tarragon, and yarrow, help heal dental pain. Herbs have been used by various cultures throughout history to help control toothaches and obtain temporary relief.

Native Americans, for example, used the inner bark found on the back of the walnut tree for gum pain relief. The white walnut is found in North America, it is a family of the common walnut. Hickory trees are found in solid soils, lush forests, and even in backyards.

Once the tree matures, it can reach heights of up to 60 feet. It has a light gray bark, while its leaves and fruits resemble black. The bark of the tree can be applied to the gums, helping to relieve dental pain. Yarrow can be found in Asia, Europe, and North America. It normally grows wild in open meadows, fields, and forests. Its root is what contains the anesthetic effect, if the fresh root is applied to your teeth, it will help reduce pain until you can get an appointment with your dentist. The herb known as clove is evergreen, native to the tropics. Today, however, it can be found all over the world. It is known by many that the dried flower of the clove tooth is what contains the medicine. When clove oil is used on a toothache it stops the pain almost immediately. If you compare cloves to other natural remedies for toothache, you will find this to be the best.

For many years, natural herbs have been used to stop toothaches. Hundreds of years ago, herbs were the only way to stop the pain. Dentists were just beginning to emerge and they didn’t have the equipment and sophistication that they have these days. Dental extractions were performed using alcohol to numb the pieces and be able to extract them with forceps. Over time, herbs have proven to be very effective in relieving tooth pain.

If you are interested in herbs or have any questions about them, feel free to ask your dentist, they are knowledgeable about herbs and should be able to recommend natural remedies if you need them. The next time you feel pain in a tooth, you should always remember that herbs are a great way to relieve it.
