As we all know, toothaches and any type of oral injury can be extremely painful and should be seen by a dentist immediately. Dental emergencies must be taken care of immediately, day or night. These emergencies include broken teeth, teeth that have fallen out, or teeth that have been forced out of the socket. In some emergencies, the cheeks, lips, or gums will have cuts or scrapes where the teeth poke out of the socket.

If you have had a recently beaten tooth, the first thing to do is look for the tooth. When you have found the tooth, rub it gently until it is free of residue. Once you have cleaned it, you should put it back in your mouth between your cheek and gums. Whatever you do, you should never try to put it on your base. If you can get to the dentist soon, he can put you back in place. If a tooth has fallen out of place, you can usually reposition it with your fingers. You should not use a lot of force, simply because it could damage the tooth. If you have a fractured tooth, your treatment will depend on what type of fracture it is. No matter how slight the fracture is, it is very important that you go to the dentist as soon as possible. Minor fractures aren’t that bad as they can usually be smoothed out with sandpaper. You will need to make sure you are extremely careful with the tooth for a few days.

More moderate fractures typically include damage to dentin, pulp, and even enamel. Sometimes these fractures may not be a cause for concern, but they can be painful in other cases. As long as the pulps have not been damaged, their dent will be able to regain its full shape and function with the fractured tooth. In cases where pulp damage has occurred, the dentist may perform a root canal or other serious surgery to repair the tooth.
When you encounter a dental emergency, you shouldn’t hesitate to contact a dentist right away. This can help you, fix the problem, and stop the pain. Dental emergencies can happen at any time. Tooth pain can be very excruciating, and you will obviously want to fix the problem right away.
